Can I submit?

Of course! Submissions are always welcome. All submissions will be accepted and added to the queue, so don’t worry if they don’t show up instantly.

What can I submit?

You can submit either ready-to-go comics or just ideas. If you have an idea, you submit the link of the comic you want to have used and your idea.

Are there any submission guidelines?

Not really. Of course your comic shouldn’t be too offensive or be a serious trigger of any kind. Also, our source bar should be included at the bottom.

Is there a tutorial for making a comic?

Yes, there is: right here.

Do you accept only .jpeg or also .gif?

Both are fine and always welcome.

Do you only accept “New Who” or is “Classic Who” also allowed?

“Classic Who” is of course allowed! I personally haven’t watched it yet, so I won’t be able to make them myself, but you are very welcome to submit them.

Do you only use each comic once?

No, that would be quite impossible. Many comics apply to many situations, so it is natural that we want to explore all possibilities. Also, we will post your submission even if it is similar to another one. No work should go unrewarded!

Do you use original text?

No. We only use the comics from “A Softer World” and not our own text.

Do you post comics that may be spoilers?

If we use screencaps from the most recent episode, we tag them with the episode’s name, so that you will be able to block them. After a week, we will take the tags down, thus giving everyone enough time to catch up.

Can I post your comic on a different site?

Yes, you may, as long as you credit us and leave the source bar.

Do you have the permission to remix the comics?

Yes, we do! As it turns out, Joey Comeau is a huge “Doctor Who” fan himself and thinks that our blog is fun.

Is there an index?

No. As it turns out, it is quite difficult to maintain one. When you do need to know desperately which original belongs to which remix, you can ask us and we will send you the link.

Do you answer all asks you receive?

Yes, we do. But we will delete the asks of the past week every Sunday, so that Whovians, who want to read through our whole archive, aren’t slowed down by them. If there are questions that are important to everyone, we will add them to the FAQ.
